Letter from George L. von Pragenau in Huntsville, Alabama to Senator John J. Sparkman in Washington, D.C.
Von Pragenau suggests to Sparkman that residents of Huntsville should display American flags outside their homes and businesses at the same moment that "astronaut Neil Armstrong will plant the American flag onto the lunar soil." He wrote a similar letter to Huntsville mayor Joe Davis. -
STS 51-L Data and Design Analysis Task Force Lessons Learned Report.
This report was produced by the Data and Design Analysis Task Force "to support the Presidential Commission appointed by President Ronald Reagan to investigate the loss of the Space Shuttle Challenger and its crew." The report includes details from investigations in the areas of Development and Production, Prelaunch Activities, Accident Analysis, and Mission Planning and Operations. The report includes a recommendation to conduct an investigation "into the manufacturing process, final delivery and material cutting of the O-rings" that failed during the accident. -

Topics of the essays include family life, a fictional moral story, descriptions of the weather, as well as significant historic events such as the Saarabstimmung (1935 Saar status referendum). Furthermore, she mentions Adolf Hitler (German chancellor) and the Sturmabteilung (Paramilitary organization run by Nazi Germany) in these essays. The transcript includes a description of each illustration. -

Fontaine, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, The Bendix Corporation to the Newcomen Society of North American on December 8, 1966. This Newcomen address was delivered at the "1966 Michigan Dinner" of the society held at Detroit, Michigan when Mr. Fontaine was the guest of honor. Portions of Mr. Fontaine's talk relative to the Baltimore Divisions and Bendix Field Engineering were amplified locally to provide more historical detail concerning those organizations.; Stapled to this brochure is a letter to Mr. David L. "Automatic Saturn V Page Test System."
The abstract notes, "This paper describes the Automatic Saturn V Page Test System. The system is used to evaluate microminiature Unit Logic Device (ULD) circuits. A page is an assembly consisting of a magnesium- lithium frame, an input-output connector, test points, and multilateral printed circuit boards that interconnect the IUDs into logic circuits. The test system automatically performs tests for shorted voltages and shorted diodes, static logic function, and pulse function."
