    Back: A ground test modal of the Saturn V second stage (S-ll ) is lifted into a recently completed captive test stand at the Mississippi Test Operations in Hancock County, Miss. The NASA-Marshall Space Flight Center's Mississippi Test Operations will be used for captive firing the S-ll flight stages. Ground test stage was manufactured to test out S-ll systems and the ground test facilities.

    The Army's first supersonic anti-aircraft guided missile designed to follow and destroy the enemy target, regardless of evasive action. The Nike-Ajax system consists essentially of two parts First, an expendable missile; second, an elaborate and highly complex control system requiring approximately 1,400,000 individual parts. It is the first guided missile system to defend American cities against attack.

    Back: OAKLAWN PLANTATION - one of the most beautiful ante-bellum homes in Huntsville, Alabama - was built around 1844 and served as a hospital during the Spanish-American War. The late Max Luther transformed the 175 acre estate into a stock farm. He also maintained a very fine stable for his noted five- and three-gaited saddle horses.
