Merrimack Mill was a mill that sponsored a number of things and created a booming industry for the town. Later it opened up the Joe S. Bradley school, and the mill was eventually turned into Huntsville park.
The congregation of First Baptist Church Huntsville moved into this new (and current as of Oct 2024) church building in 1963 but it wasn’t completed until 1966. Since then, renovations and expansions have been made to the church.
Moran Hall, located at Campus Rd, Huntsville, AL, was built in the 1930's. The building houses faculty offices and classrooms for the Department of History and Political Science and the Department of English and Foreign Languages.
This photograph shows the main entrance to the older wing of Morton Hall, which was constructed in 1961. It was most recently renovated in the late 2010s and reopened with a new wing in fall 2020.
Parkway Place Mall, found at 2801 Memorial Pkwy SW, Huntsville, AL, is a two-story enclosed mall. The modern building was opened in 2002, but the mall first opened in 1957 as an open-air strip mall named Parkway Shopping Center. This picture shows it from the outside upper parking deck, with one of its roadside signs in the top left.
