This appraisal contains the wholesale and retail value of various items in the property at 300 Williams Ave. SE, Huntsville, Alabama in August 1970. Various items belong to Eleanor N. Hutchens, Ellen W. Newman, Margaret H. Henson, Margaret N. Hutchens, Susie N. Hutchens, and William W. Newman. The appraisal also contains images of the rooms appraised in the estate that show the corresponding items within. The appraisal is signed by Susie N. Hutchens and Margaret N. Hutchens along with the appraiser, A. L. Compton. -

The Book Nook was the original name of the UAH Bookstore. After her resignation as Librarian in 1968, Christel McCanless acted as a consultant for the Book Nook in the 1970s. -
Drawings of a sidewalk well and rail on Courthouse Square in downtown Huntsville, Alabama.
The drawings include plans for a building a well in the sidewalk with a glass top for viewing the "old handmade brick walk" underneath the current sidewalk. In one of the notes, architect Harvie P. Jones notes that the historic sidewalk probably dates from the early to mid-nineteenth century "based on its depth of approximately 10" below the present walk." The well is located in front of 205 East Side Square. It was restored in 2018. -

Dallas Manufacturing Company minute book, 1890-1907.
This minute book documents the activities of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Manufacturing Company in Huntsville, Alabama. The book includes meeting minutes, company correspondence, list of contracts with suppliers, information about company stock and production, lists of subscribers, and statements of profits and operating expenses.
Notably, the minute book also includes a February 1893 letter from Oscar Goldsmith noting that "The Huntsville Land Company have built 50 double Houses for the Employees of Dallas M'f'g. Company. And as per request of Mr. Dallas will build 25 more houses for the same purpose." Goldsmith's letter is accompanied by a plat map that indicates the location of the houses. Streets shown include Pettigrew Avenue, Mellette Avenue, Halsey Avenue, Rison Avenue, Stevens Avenue, Humes Avenue, O'Shaughnessy Avenue, McCullough Avenue, Dallas Avenue, and cross streets. -
