Hildegard Nörenberg (1904-1977) was a nurse and midwife from Berlin-Tegel, Berlin, Germany. She immigrated to Alabama in 1956, as her sister Maria, the wife of Operation Paperclip engineer Werner Kuers, had moved to Huntsville, Alabama in the early 1950s. From 1924 to 1932, Nörenberg frequently corresponded with Hans Albert Silberberg, her close friend and longtime love. Silberberg was a music student, composer, and pianist. He died in 1932, at the age of 25. -

This image of three Laxson + Kelly transactions from January 3, 1899, is cropped from page 194 of Harrison Brothers Hardware Company daybook 2, 1898-1902. In these transactions, Laxson + Kelly purchased several boxes of tobacco products from Harrison Brothers, sold the brothers $49.45 of merchandise, and paid $85.79 to their credit account. The Harrison Brothers sold primarily tobacco products until March 1900 and Laxson + Kelly, local Huntsville grocers, were some of the Brothers' most frequent customers. -

This image of an L.J. Hughes transaction from July 10, 1899, is cropped from page 294 of Harrison Brothers Hardware Company daybook 2, 1898-1902. In this transaction, L.J. Hughes purchased a tobacco product and sold merchandise for credit toward his wife's customer account. The Harrison Brothers sold primarily tobacco products until March 1900 and Mrs. L.J. Hughes was one of only a few women to be a frequent tobacco customer and have a customer account which was also used by her husband. Jean Perrault, Arthur Rudolph, Wernher von Braun, and Ben Graves at the dedication of the Willy Ley Collection at the UAH Library.
Perrault was the director of the UAH Library at the time. Rudolph had retired from NASA from 1969 and von Braun was then working as Deputy Associate Administrator of NASA in Washington, D.C. The UAH Library purchased the Willy Ley Collection from Ley's widow, Olga, in 1970. -
Jan Davis working in the Space Habitation Module on Space Shuttle Discovery.
Davis served as a Mission Specialist on STS-60, the second flight of the Space Habitation Module (Spacehab). As part of the mission, she conducted thin-film crystal growth experiments in the Wake Shield Facility.
