Drawings of a sidewalk well and rail on Courthouse Square in downtown Huntsville, Alabama.
The drawings include plans for a building a well in the sidewalk with a glass top for viewing the "old handmade brick walk" underneath the current sidewalk. In one of the notes, architect Harvie P. Jones notes that the historic sidewalk probably dates from the early to mid-nineteenth century "based on its depth of approximately 10" below the present walk." The well is located in front of 205 East Side Square. It was restored in 2018. -

The appraisal also contains images of the rooms appraised in the estate that show the corresponding items within. The appraisal is signed by Susie N. Hutchens and Margaret N. Hutchens along with the appraiser, A. L. Compton. -

Excerpt from the journal of Irmgard Stuhlinger.
Stuhlinger attended the launch of Apollo 11 with her husband Ernst Stuhlinger, then the Associate Director for Science at Marshall Space Flight Center. In the entries, she describes her reaction to the launch and the successful lunar landing and makes note of the celebrations she and her family attended in Huntsville. She also records her daily activities, including socializing with neighbors and shopping with her children. A translation is included. -

The Freedom Shrine is a collection of historic American documents and a program of the National Exchange Club. It was donated to the UAH Library, then located in the Graduate Studies Building (later named Madison Hall), by the Exchange Club of Huntsville and Thiokol Chemical Corporation. -
